Incrementing number

Hi,

This extension is really well coded, but I’m new to WordPress and not so great with PHP and I was wondering if there was a way to show an incrementing number next to the posts displayed. I mean without hacking the display loop in the core file.

I need this to display a top 10 posts, with the order number next to the post. The order of those posts may vary over time.

I know this issue is pretty specific and may not be of use to someone else, but any help would be appreciate.
