Index page blank but wp-admin is working

  • Hi there,

    I was trying to figure out why neither my RSS nor my RSS2 feeds were working. I went to the MySQL database to check for runtime errors but I was unable to find a link. I think I may have altered the wp-postmeta table by mistake, but I’m unsure how the structure should appear, and whether or not this is where my problem lies.

    When I tried accessing my index page, everything was blank. There was no error 404 or any other sort of error apparent. I checked the dashboard, and everything was fine. I even had access to posting new entries.

    If you write a Post what happens?

    What did you alter in the postmeta table? See Database Description for the structure of that table.

    When I change Themes, the index page is still blank. When I post an entry it says “Post saved. View site” but when I click on the hyperlink, the page is still blank. I checked the postmeta table, and it looks like nothing has been changed. The only thing I did before was click on “optimize table”.

    Do you think it could be a problem with the host since the page was running fine yesterday and days before that?

    Any plugins that you might deactivate?

    Another idea, if you’re not a 2.0.6, why not try to upgrade and see if that resolves the problem. Just wonder if one of your wordpress files got corrupted.

    Thanks for your time Michael. I’ll try upgrading. I already tried deacivating all my plugins. If upgrading doesn’t work, I’ll probably just email my host.
