Index Page Not Showing Most Recent Post

  • Hello. My blog was crashing so my host suggested disabling wp-cron and enabled cron jobs on server. Since the original change my scheduled posts say (missed schedule) and my latest post isn’t showing up on the index page. I tried disabling Cloudflare cache plugin but that didn’t work. I have also cleared browser cache and history.

    Hi @tryeakle. The issue could be caused by the cron job (see this article on common reasons cron jobs fail).

    If you determine that the issue doesn’t lie with the cron job, it could be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default themes such as Twenty Twenty One. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    You can do this by installing “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
