Index page says “1 comment” but no comment displayed on post-page/admin-panel

  • If you visit https://www.c10n.info you will notice that the second post there says “1 comment”

    But if I go to the post page https://www.c10n.info/archives/435 , I can’t see that comment and I can’t find the comment anywhere in admin panel either. This is so confusing.

    I am using WP 2.0, and am guessing it might be due to akismet, but I have no clue why this could be happening.

    Has anyone else faced similar issue, any idea what could be wrong?

    (I can look around in my database if you can guide me what to look for)

  • Upgrade. That was a bug in 2.0.

    Have I lost that comment or will I see it when I upgrade?

    I can’t remember, sorry. But most likely you are seeing a cached version of your site (try to delete everything from the wp-content/cache folder); so, if you don’t see it in the admin panel, probably it doesn’t exist.
