index product category in sitemap

    Hi, I want to display the product category pages in the sitemap. I have set the “index” option in the category page SEO settings but still the google bot does not see it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help ??

    Hello!

    Could you perform a site:-search-query on Google Search to verify whether Google found your categories? I tested a few, and Google indexed them well.

    For example: site:https://example.com/kategoria/olejki-cbd/

    The issue is most likely that Google didn’t find your categories worth showing in the search results, and favoured product-pages instead. Google tries to limit the number of results of a single domain on their Search Engine Result Pages (SERP), so they won’t accidentally create monopolies — while doing so, it’s in your best interest for them to show the most pertaining result to the search engine user; alas, this often isn’t a bare category but a content-rich product page instead.
