Index ticker

We plan to include in the near future some additional financial plugins, including ticker for stocks and index.

We may have misunderstood your question. It seems what you want is the ability to display market indices information. If that’s the case, this is now available in version 1.3.1, by specifying the index ticker in the symbol parameter, prefixed by ^. A list of the indices currently available can be found at https://www.stockdio.com/indices. We will be adding new indices to the service, as needed.

Currently, indices are not supported in the Stock Quotes List, but we plan to add this functionality in the next few days. Do you plan to mix indices and stocks in the same list, or just a list of indices separate from a list of stocks?

I would like to use it in the same list if it could be possible.
I’ve noticed that the last value of all indices and stocks are the previous day close value.
Is it correct or do I have to set something in the plugin settings panel?

We currently have only EOD data for all of our services, that’s why you see the previous day close. We plan to support real-time (delayed) prices for US Stocks in the next few days in both, chart and stock quotes list plugins.

peppomcr: We have added the ability to display market indices in the Stock Quotes List, and you can even mix stocks and indices in the same list. Simply add the index code using the ^ prefix (e.g. ^SPX for S&P 500), along with other stock symbols or market index codes. The stockExchange parameter will only be used for the stocks and ignored for the indices.

Love your plugin! But I want to display historical price change from buy point to present, is that possible?

We currently support price change display from previous day only. We can add a functionality to display difference from a date you provide. We assume that each stock you display would have a different buy point, so you would need to provide a different date per each stock, is that correct?
