    Hi

Do the indexables tables need to be backed up? Or can this simply be re-run in Yoast? If these are not backed up is any key data lost like meta tags etc?

Basically trying to get backups to run and therefore more frequent by not backing up certain tables as the site has a lot of posts.

    Thanks

@mdeluk We’d recommend backing up all of your database as part of a regular site backup.

However, if you didn’t backup these tables you wouldn’t lose metadata. The indexables tables could be regenerated. Although, for a large site, that can be time and resource intensive.

If you do need to redo the SEO data optimization for the indexables tables, for sites with more than 10,000 posts instead of using the ‘Start SEO data optimization’ button, we’d advise using the WP-CLI command wp yoast index --reindex to do the indexation on the server. You can read more about this here:?https://yoa.st/wp-cli-index
