Hi, i’m using your plugin and i would like to solve the problem with indexing images, that i have enabled with site map. The site is up to date and runs fine. I also have enabled redirect to attachments -and i think that this gives me issues with redirect error on google search console,

also the site uses jetpack portfolio and jetpack cdn for the images. the site have caching enabled.

I have also some issue with the Aioseo xml sitemap that shows the right number of images inside portfolio type but when i check it i see old urls when checking from the source script. From user side seem ok, i think jetpack pulls the right img url and there are no problems with showing the images event if the map is not 100% correct.

This old url that remain can be maybe caching issue with the sitemap, which seem strange cause half of them are good so what can be the issue?

Thanks a lor for your help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sladzana,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Could you please share some more details, perhaps with some screenshots from Google Search Console or a screencast of the problem, so that I can investigate this and assist you further?

    You may use a tool like?Snipboard?(https://snipboard.io/) or?Loom?(https://www.loom.com/screen-recorder)?to create & share the screenshots/screencasts.

Could you also try clearing any server or website cache and then recheck the URLs?

I’m looking forward to helping you!

Great and thank you for your kind and fast reply. Yes i did flushed the cache and did make jetpack connection test. I have the same issue w generated site map.

The xml site map generated by Aioseo, shows the right number of images but half of them are with old urls and you can check it by viewing the source code. This is a short piece of source code from the map / of just one img from the carousel/.

    https://www.marcodelogu.com/jetpack-portfolio-sitemap.xml

here is one short code example from the map

    <loc><![CDATA[https://www.marcodelogu.com/portfolio/scrittori/]]></loc> <lastmod><![CDATA[2024-05-29T17:42:13+00:00]]></lastmod> <changefreq><![CDATA[weekly]]></changefreq> <priority><![CDATA[1]]></priority> <image:image> <image:loc><![CDATA[https://lnx.marcodelogu.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Paul-Strand-1.jpg]]></image:loc>

this is only example from many other urls from the site map. it displays right on front page, cause jetpack pulls images from CDN with correct url on the live site. i checked the source code with developer tools.

Also on archive site map no images get displayed i see only 0.

    https://www.marcodelogu.com/jetpack-portfolio-type-sitemap.xml

As for the redirect issue i get on lots of portfolio pages / i did also ahref site audit / i think i can solve with undo the redirect images to attachment in plugin settings. here is one example i get of many redirect. source – target and the final url example (which goes back to img right now). Opting for none in settings of redirect attachment i will get rid of this 3xx error?

    https://www.marcodelogu.com/jhumpa-lahiri-boundary/? source gets 200

    https://www.marcodelogu.com/jhumpa-lahiri-boundary/jhumpalahiri/? target gets 301

    https://www.marcodelogu.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/jhumpalahiri.jpg? and final url 200

    Thanks again for your patience.

    Hi @sladzana,

Would you be able to share when this page was last updated? – https://www.marcodelogu.com/portfolio/scrittori/

I see the image URLs do not match what is on the current page so I would like to determine if the sitemap date is correct or if it’s cached – https://a.supportally.com/i/3UpAxH

For images not being reported in the sitemap- https://www.marcodelogu.com/jetpack-portfolio-type-sitemap.xml, could you please tell me if the image layout is from a carousel in your theme or another plugin?

If you set the Redirect Attachments to none or disabled, it will show the media attachment page which will appear in search results as well. If your current setting is not working for all images, then there is a conflict with your theme or another plugin. When you change the setting, please let me know if this resolves the redirect issues.

    Thanks!

Hi thank you again, yes it was first published on: 21 September 2018 but the page was updated with seo features this year. the gallery on page use carousel jetpack with cdn (theme unwind) for portfolio features and yes uses carousel mode. the image file from gallery leads to attachment page in wordpress. i use also jetpack boost feature. the site map show wrong url for half of the images, even if when checked on live site the url is correct. i installed allinoneseo this year and i start having issues with site also ddos problems so i also deactivated the page rate on admin dashboard, also i have lots of php errors that i checked yesterday that im trying to understand. i checked today the latest site health issue and have rest api problems and scheduled action.
