index.php shows my parent directory on my site

  • hi, i am new to wordpress and hope to learn more about it. as for now, after installation, my index.php actually display my directory. how can i resolve this? i try seeking answer on the web but there is no httpd.conf file in my directory which i was advised to change some parameters. please advise if you know, thanks.

    adding on, this is a re-installation, previosuly, it was ok as in the index.php did show the designated webpage.
