• Hello, today I have notice a very weird issue of my blog: https://ijdmtoy.com/BLOG/wordpress/

All the posts done before 2012 are fully searchable on Google for example the following two post titles:

2007 Honda Civic SI Upgraded with LED Daytime Running Lights
Impressive 2010 Subaru WRX with Nice 9005 LED Bulbs

However, all the post done in 2012 are not searchable on Google, for example

Sun Visor LED Vanity Mirror Lights Installed on Lexus IS300
Dazzle Jeep Grand Cherokee with Blue LED Interior Lights

Back in July when I last checked my blog, there was no such an issue like this and it appears it happened all of a sudden.

My individual post used to be on the first page of google search result but now google only show pages, categories & tags instead my individual post.

Can anyone give a clue how would this happen???thanks a million

  • Maybe you’re being “punished” by google? The do a lot of things on their end which are beyond all of our control. It looks like you’re trying pretty hard to optimize the site for search, but if you’re using any “black hat” trick then you may have gotten the wrong kind of attention from the great searchbot in the sky.

The site looks fine, so not sure what the issue would be there. Did you make any big changes to the site around the time Google stopped indexing your site? New themes or plugins?

This sounds like an SEO problem, and not a WordPress problem.

JerrySarcastic, how come this “punishment” only affect my posts done in 2012 not the previous 2011, 2010 and 2009 posts?

Look here for the indexed pages:
    site:https://ijdmtoy.com/BLOG/wordpress/

And now you may check your sitemap submitted to Google and the number of indexed pages. If all the pages are not indexed, some of them will be blocked by robots.txt, not found, duplicate content/ description, etc. So, proceed to Google Webmaster Tools to know what is really happening.

ilovejdmtoy: Because Google is mysterious and cruel. I agree, go check things out in Webmaster Tools… the content of your site is, uh, how do I put this delicately, very much about selling something. I mean it might be a little overloaded with keywords, which is a red flag to Google that you’re spamming.

Google has been doing a lot to change it’s algorithms to hide spammy sites, and they may not block all your content from showing up in SERPs, but may only be blocking content from the date they “caught you” moving forward. You better go check it out.

I have checked site:https://ijdmtoy.com/BLOG/wordpress, all my posts are indexed by google.

However when I am searching the exact title on google

it will show either just the homepage or the tag page or the search result page (e.g ijdmtoy.com/BLOG/wordpress/page/5/?s=Toyota)

JerrySarcastic, I have checked the webmaster, seems everything is fine, there is no warning message, and no errors.

My blog was fine even in June or July, it happened all of a sudden and during this time, there is no major Google Algorithm Changes

Apparently you do not have any problems, judging from what you state above. Now do you find any major down slide in the traffic you receive from organic searches, any drop in PR etc?

My blog was fine even in June or July, it happened all of a sudden and during this time, there is no major Google Algorithm Changes

I don’t agree with what you say. Google Penguin and Google Panda are ongoing changes, and Google is altering their algorithms for these major Algorithm changes quite frequently. Make a Google Search and find out.

    Edit: Repeat post

Yes, I have found major lost of traffic. (about 30% loss)

And all my 2012 posts are hard to be found on Google search now.

Yes, I have found major lost of traffic. (about 30% loss)

Many sites report such losses, while many others report gains. These may be related to the algorithms I mentioned above.

And all my 2012 posts are hard to be found on Google search now.

Because all your posts/ pages are indexed, they are on the SERPs somewhere deep down, while others moved up to take up the positions you had. This explains the 30% loss in traffic too.

There are many reasons for these, and also possible solutions. But unfortunately, these forums do not deal with such questions. You may discuss these on SEO forums and also on Google’s own forums.

    Good luck!

I have searched and compared with couple different wordpress blogs

Only my blog has this <meta name=”robots” content=”follow, all” /> in the coding.

Will this be the reason causing this problem

and how can I remove this from my blog

Yeah, that’s actually a good thing. I’d be more concerned if there were a “no-follow” in place, which would mean you’re blocking search engines. You’re not blocking anything, and that kind of proves it.

Google is constantly changing their algorithm (announced and unannounced changes, I assure you) and I think the issues you’re having aren’t related to WordPress and how it works; WordPress seems to function fine on your site, so I’d start looking at your content and SEO strategy overall, which are the more likely culprits here.

You’re probably on page 200 or something, so you’re not invisible, google is just burying you in SERPs. I’d start making friends over at a reputable SEO forum and see if they can help.

It’s suggested that Google changes its algorithm about 500 times a year. There was a Panda update only a few days ago.

    (@ilovejdmtoy)

    Thanks for all the suggestion.

    If I am about to change this <meta name=”robots” content=”follow, all” />

From where can I change it?

Why would you change it? It’s not causing the problem, nor is changing it any part of the solution…
