When someone clicks on a blog post to open that posts individual page it goes to the HTTP 404 page not found error.

I’ve gone through all of the admin tools to see if I needed to adjust a setting but can’t find anything.

    Using Evolve Theme version 2.3.9

    Any help?

  • Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

Here is the link to the page I clicked on. I clicked on the post title to try and access this post by itself. I have 3 other WordPress blogs and all of them work that way. This one and any blog post title you click on will give you an http 404 not found error.

This is the link that shows in the browser bar when you click on the title of a blog post.

    https://blog.deductr.com/monavie-partners-with-business-owners-advantage-deductr-services-now-available-to-independent-distributors

This is what it says on the error page:

    The webpage cannot be found

    HTTP 404

    Most likely causes:
?There might be a typing error in the address.
?If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.
    What you can try:
    Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.
Go to and look for the information you want.

This is what you see in Chrome – the previous message is from Internet Explorer.

    Not Found

The requested URL /monavie-partners-with-business-owners-advantage-deductr-services-now-available-to-independent-distributors was not found on this server.

    Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) Server at blog.deductr.com Port 80

This is the link that shows in the browser bar when you click on the title of a blog post.

And where did this link come from?

This link was produced by clicking on the title of the blog post. In my other WordPress sites you can access a single post’s page by simply clicking on the title of the blog post.

I wanted to send someone a link to a specific blog post rather than the generic blog URL where they would have to scroll through other posts to find the one I want them to read.

On my other wordpress blogs I can access a unique post page by clicking on the title of the post. On this blog it throws the error.

Here is the blog URL: blog.deductr.com maybe you can test it and see what happens if you get the same error when you click on a title to one of the posts.

None of your links to single posts are working. Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

    That was it. Thanks!
