Individual links for images

  • I would like to link specific images to specific URLs. Its only possible to link the caption, but usually people will click the image which can only lead to the media file or the attachment page.

    Fx. I want to link to a product so I need to be able to link the images to specific products.

    Congrats on he award. I can see blocks evolving in 2019, so you’re going to be busy ??

  • Related Request – I’d love a lightbox popup for images in the carousel.

    Although I’m certain I can achieve these with individual URL links too.

    How is this part of the project going? We wait with bated breath…and hobbled websites.
    Adding this functionality would be very much appreciated.
    What is the point of a gallery, or a sidebar gallery if the thumbnails can’t open the related pages/topics? ??

    I’m a new FooBox user. I also need to link from individual photos individually in the lightbox. What is the status of this? Thanks!!!

    WP Custom Gallery Links plugin does the job. BUT, reusable Gutenberg blocks won’t display in the editor after saving them with the Custom Gallery links plugin. It works fine on the backend when created and on the frontend for the user. But going back to a reusable block that includes Custom Gallery links to maybe add or change something, I get an error message Block has been deleted or unavailable. This just started after a few WP updates, it had an issue with WP Cache giving the same error, then I disabled that plugin and it went away, now, WP update has caused the error again.
    Anyway, Custom GAllery Links plugin still works to implement the desired feature.

    Hey Luis, it’s a bit tricky to implement but I have a prototype that’s nearing an alpha release. It’s currently based within the CoBlocks gallery blocks, which is where I’ll likely release the new functionality (as Block Gallery recently merged).

    Just checking in to share that I would also really applaud the option for custom individual links per image.

    Also, it would be amazing to be able to add custom CSS-classes per image. Though I’ve found a workaround for this. Just FYI ??

    Hey everyone! I’ve prepared a pull request to the CoBlocks repo (which also has the same gallery blocks as these) that adds custom link functionality for individual images.
