I know you can set each coupon to be “individual use only”, and we have set this for all our coupons. However, we have one specific coupon that should work together with ANY of the others – how can we achieve this?

  • Hi @andi0tx!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Could you please elaborate more about what you are trying to achieve? Do you want one coupon that rules them all? Like a super coupon?

What is the workflow you imagine to be? The more information we have, the better assistance we can provide.

Kindly notice that you could use coupons in combination with other coupons and set restrictions or limits on them.

Check more about this here: https://woocommerce.com/document/coupon-management/#adding-a-coupon

@judagutor thank you so much for your reply!

Yes, I have one “Supercoupon” that is used to get a discount on shipping, and it should always be available to everyone and in combination wit ANY other coupon it is actually visually displayed in the shop so that anyone can use it). So obviously I would not set any restrictio on that one.

But then we have seasonal/promotional coupons, like a special “SALE2022” and a “BLACKFRIDAY” for example. These should NOT be used in combination with any other coupon, except for the supercoupon that is for shipping discount…but if we set “individual use” for “SALE2022” and “BLACKFRIDAY”, they cannot be used with supercoupon…

    Hi @andi0tx,

    Thanks for clarifying.

The built-in coupon feature doesn’t come with conditional logic to combine some coupons and exclude other coupon combinations. This extra functionality requires a plugin or can be achieved with custom coding.

I’ve been searching in the marketplace of WooCommerce.com to see if I could find an extension that helps with that. With Smart Coupons you can apply multiple coupons via a link so you could set up two links, one having “Supercoupon” + “SALE2022” and the other “Supercoupon” + “BLACKFRIDAY” and offer the discount option to your customers depending on the sales period.

I’d suggest reaching out to us for more information on this product through this pre-sales form:

    https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/#sales-form

We will be able to respond to your inquiries there.

Alternatively, you can consult with a developer who can help you create a custom solution. We’d recommend hiring a developer or one of the customization experts listed at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Cheers.

@rainfallnixfig thank you for your reply.
We do not want to use another plugin, we would happily use custom code. I had found this snippet, but it would need to be adapted since we need ALL coupons to wokr with the super coupon. Could you maybe help me with this? I am not very good at PHP but really want to learn…

    Thank you so much!

    Hi there,

We can help with a very simple PHP customization, but that snippet seems complex enough for what we can assist with. Please note that custom coding is beyond the scope of the support we are able to provide in this forum.

If you require more help with the actual coding, we’d highly recommend hiring a developer or one of the customization experts listed at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Cheers.
