I am trying to use the Lazy Load plugin for my website containing hundreds of youtube embeds. I have gotten it to replace youtube embeds at the initial loading of each page.

However, youtube embeds in posts that are loaded dynamically using jquery (infinite scroll pagination) are being replaced by grey images (instead of video preview images). When clicked, it redirects to the youtube video page instead of loading the youtube video iframe.

My website (https://www.vrijewereld.org) is using infinite scroll that is default in the atom-powered Mystique theme.

How do I make this plugin to work alongside infinite scroll?

    Thank you so much!

    Hi,

obviously it is a bug because of this infinite scroll thing.
On the (single) article page the video shows up correctly.

You could disable the theme’s infinite scroll function and try it with another script or plugin.

Thank you for your time! I really like Lazy Load for Videos, and am dying to give it 5 stars, if only I got it to work in combination with some sort of infinite scroll.

I have disabled the theme’s infinite scroll function and activated the ‘Infinite-Scroll’-plugin. Video embeds that are loaded dynamically (through this infinite-scroll-plugin) are still showing up grey (as can be seen on my website). So I figure it’s not a bug in the infinite-scroll function of my theme.

I have seen that with other lazy-load-plugins, a function of the lazy-load-plugin needs to be called somewhere within the infinite-scroll-function so that dynamically loaded video embeds are also lazy-loaded properly. Isn’t this the case for Lazy Load for Videos?

    Thanks in advance!

    And thanks for your feedback!

    Hey Kevin,

It works! I’m so happy! We serve 634 youtube embeds and counting, so I really appreciate your help.

    Kind regards,
    Vrije Wereld
