Infinite Scroll – "Older Posts" Oonly loads one time

Excellent theme and thanks for sharing it.

I have a problem with with Jetpack – Infinite Scroll on your theme.
Basically my setup uses the IS option click to load due to the presence of Footer Widgets.

In Settings > Reading:

“We’ve changed this option to a click-to-scroll version for you since you have footer widgets in Appearance → Widgets, or your theme uses click-to-scroll as the default behavior.”

I have no problem with this, but the “Older Posts” Button only appears at the bottom of the loaded posts the first time around. Once I have clicked it once, it does load another batch of posts into the browser, but when I then scroll to the bottom, I cannot load any more as the button never appears.

I have a Child theme setup, but the problem also exists in the Parent. I tried switching out to some of the WP default Themes (like TwentyFifteen) and the problem does not occur on those themes.

The only workaround I have at the moment (other than disabling IS) is to increase the quantity of posts loaded in the archive page. This slows those archive pages down significantly as I would need to load over 60 posts each time in order to show all in only one additional click of the “Older Posts” button.
