    Hello,

Since yesterday the infinite scroll option has stopped working.
The website went live over 1 month ago and it had been working ever since.

The problem, it will just load the last 4 posts on the front page, once you scroll down it just does not load the others anymore.

    I use the Theme Receptar.

I have disabled other plugins, enabled the theme Twenty Twenty, ran the jetpack debugging feature, ran Site health feature. Nothing helped.

For now i changed the settings to use the default pagination for the theme.
It would however be awesome to get infinite scrolling back to work.

    Hi there,

Have you made any update or modification to that theme? Have you installed any plugin that might cause a conflict with Infitine Scroll?

The theme was last updated 25/11/2019. I did not edit any code manually.
    https://www.webmandesign.eu/portfolio/receptar-wordpress-theme/

As for the plugins, these are currently active:
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Akismet Anti-Spam
    Backup Guard
    Classic Editor
    Shortcodes Ultimate
    WPFront Scroll Top

    All are latest version.

The only plugin i would think might mess up is the Shortcodes Ultimate, if i use animation shortcode it somehow also does not show a short paragraph on the front page.

But even after disabling all plugins, the infinite scroll did not work.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m afraid we did introduce a bug to the Infinite Scroll feature in the most recent Jetpack release.

We’ll release a new version of the plugin early next week to address this, but until then I would recommend that you install Jetpack’s Beta plugin on your site. It will allow you, once you’ve uploaded and activated the plugin, to go to Jetpack > Beta in your dashboard and activate the “Bleeding Edge” option to install a version of Jetpack that includes the fix on your site.

You can find the Beta plugin here:
    https://jetpack.com/download-jetpack-beta/

    Sorry for the trouble!

@jeherve That did the trick !

Thank you for the fast support.

Hi! Infinite Scroll also stopped working on one of my sites too (Load more posts in page with a button) with the most recent Jetpack update. Installing the Jetpack Beta plugin fixed the issue. Posting here so I can follow along. Thanks!

Is this working for anyone anymore? I’m on the Bleeding Edge beta with the default TwentyTwenty theme but it just shows the Older Posts button.

@onaccs If you use the latest version of the plugin you shouldn’t run into any issues. If you can’t trigger Infinite Scroll, I would recommend going to Jetpack > Settings to make sure Infinite Scroll is enabled there.

If you still experience issues, could you post your site URL here so we can have a look?

    Hi Jeremy.
Could you please check dudok.org? I have lost the indefinite scroll too, a few weeks ago. You mentioned a Jet Pack update to fix the issue but he problem remains. Pictorico is a great theme, but only if you see all posts as square pictures next to and below each other.
    Thank you very much.

@peterveenendaal, please don’t post into old, resolved threads. It’s very unlikely that you’re seeing the same issue that people reported three months ago – there has been multiple updates to Jetpack in this time, so if you’re seeing a problem it’s most likely something new.

Additionally, https://dudok.org/ is not using the Jetpack plugin at all.

That site is hosted on WordPress.com, so please contact WordPress.com support directly to look into this for you. If you’re on a paid WordPress.com plan you have access to live chat and email support at https://wordpress.com/help/contact
