Github scope is too demanding

I have successfully set up Github as an OAuth provider.

1. But the scope that is demanded from site registrants is onerous:

Personal user data
Full access
This application will be able to read and write all user data. This includes the following:

Private email addresses
Private profile information
Followers

It should only require user profile read access.

2. It is also asking for access to registrant organizations, which is again too much for simple SSO registration.
