Info not showing in the slider on homepage.

I am trying to add posts to the built in slider on the home page of my site. Bt no matter what I try, it just displays a blank box. the little bubble pops up under the box as if there is a new post added but nothing shows, no images no content nothing. anyone have any ideas please
