    Hi,

I had my site hacked not long ago so now im paranoid on everything so i would like to know if the code in the .htaccess file is good or its a sign of a hacker

here is the .htaccess code in the wp-admin folder :

    AuthType Basic
    AuthName “postthis”
    AuthUserFile “/home/user2/.htpasswds/public_html/blog/wp-admin/passwd”
    require valid-user

and this .htaccess file in the main dir.
    —-
    Options All -Indexes

    # BEGIN WordPress

    # END WordPress
    —–

I want to know if this is normal commands or its a hacking tool.

Also now when i try to upload images from the post ADD Image section it asks me for a username and password?

    is there something wrong ?

    It’s perfectly normal.

when i try to upload images from the post ADD Image section it asks me for a username and password

That’s because you’ve added password protection to the wp-admin folder.
