Initial Install Page will not go away

  • Hi,

    I have installed WP many times but never had this happening. The install is all fine except if you type the domains main URL, ala https://www.theurl.com, it brings up the intro, First Things First page that explains how to do the install. If you type a /home or any of the pages then everything is fine. In the Reading Settings I set the front page to be Static as the Home page. Any idea what is going on here?

    The page that will not disappear is the readme.html… I have deleted it and yet the page is still there, even after clearing my cache, etc..

    The front page, as in the landing page for the base url
