Initial look at your plugin

    I am going through various GDPR plugins to figure out the following:
    – Professional.
    – Easy to understand user interface.
    – Good features. (only needed features and no bloat)

    – Settings feel clean and to the point.
    – Gives me a general good feeling about using the plugin.

    Initial look at Real Cookie Banner (Free) version. Because of the big text using free I assume there is also a premium version. Or else there would not need to highlight the free.

    It uses animated gifs in the Info screen. This is tiring. It disturbs my reading of the information there.

    Below is an “Additional plugins by devowl.io”
    The Info page is very much about having a kind of dashboard of the GDPR plugin. Instead it uses the gifs and promotes other products.

    The next tab: Support. Takes me direct to the https://devowl.io/support/ page. It should instead contain some information in the tab and let me know in a link that it will take me to the support page.

    Rate plugin. Heck I have not tested it yet.

    I clicked the Cookies left WP menu link. Here I need to activate a free license & Continue.

    Currently there is no user interface screens containing settings that I can look at. I want to learn about how to use the plugin by seeing settings that I can turn on and off before I decide to use the plugin or not.

    I wanted to give you the above information before I remove the plugin and test another GDPR plugin. Have a great day!

    Do learn from other plugins how they setup their plugins.

    Thank you for your detailed feedback. I have taken your criticisms regarding the GIFs, the info page and the support tab to discuss them internally.

    No, you do not need to request a free license here. On the mentioned page you can also continue without a license by clicking on “X”.

    In your WordPress backend, please go to Cookies in the left menu. You will find a variety of settings that you can set!

    If you use a script or adblocker in your browser, it may block the cookie banner settings. Please make sure that no extension of your browser blocks the cookie banner settings!
