Initial ref tracking on subsequent page loads
-
Hey guys! LOVE CK!
I asked CK support about this issue and they didn’t think the WP plugin did this, so I thought I would add an enhancement request here.
What would be another awesome feature of the CK plugin would be:
Let’s say a user clicks a link to my site from somewhere like this:
https://website.com/landing-page?ref=abc
And without opting into a CK form navigates to 4 other pages, he then finally opts into one of my CK forms.
I would love to see that conversion attriuted to the “abc” referral source.
My thought would be to have the WP plugin use a cookie to track the initial abc referal source and then on the conversion attribute that conversion to that referal source. And of course this should work for popup forms or landing pages.
If this could be added to the plugin, fantastic.
If this wouldn’t be a priority for your team right now, that’s fine – let me know.
Would appreciate you letting me know if you see any technical reason why it couldn’t be done.
Or maybe you’ll tell me its already done which would be BOSS!
Thanks!
Patrick
