Initial Setup CNAME and previous A record?

    Hello, i don’t understand initial setup well.
    use cloudflare. So i have an A record pointing to server IP.
    On when i created a quic.cloud it guessed my IP wrong (it showed cloudflare’s).
    So i assumed i had to delete that and use the real server IP.

    Ok, moving on. It says to create a CNAME record. But it’s not possible, cloudflare won’t allow it. Maybe because of the A record pointing to real server IP.

    So, i’m guessing i must delete the A record and create a new CNAME using the domain and the url you assigned me? Right?

    I assume i must also bypass cloudflare right? Turn off orange cloud for it?

    Would there be a downtime?
    Are all my assumptions correct?
    What’s the price of caching the site?

    You got everything right ??

    The IP needs to be the actual server IP, and the CNAME has to be created after deleting the A record and it has to be Grey Cloud(Turn off Orange Cloud).

    This way, your domain will now directly point to QUIC CDN Nodes and it will fetch from the origin which is the actual server IP.

    – None, Just ensure that your SSL settings are properly done.

    – It’s in Public Beta Phase right now and it’s free to use, For later, No official price yet, but whenever it comes you will have more than enough time to look at the pricing and take a calculated decision given the benefits ??

    I’ve done it but didn’t work. Site went offline. I don’t know what’s up.

    Hi @ctrlaltdelete ,

    The ping request is fine, We do not allow ICMP requests on our CDN Node.
    What error do you see when you try to access from a browser?
