Initial User Question from a very new user
-
I know what I’d LIKE to do, I’m just trying to figure out if I can do it with this plugin…
First, on the album. I have a large page name on the page. Then, in a bar above the first album cover there’s ANOTHER line with the page name. Vertical space is ALWAYS at a premium, so I want to waste as little as possible. How do I get rid of this extra page name?
I’d like a ROW of thumbnails, each of which is the cover to an album, with the album name overlayed at the bottom of the image or below. I don’t want the galleries listed vertically. I currently have a small cover image and an album name to the right, then the rest of the row is wasted space. How do I get rid of this waste and have albums covers across the page with minimal waste?
Click the cover, get taken to a set of thumbnails – displayed in the original aspect ratio which is nice. But, the thumbnails are miniscule, and have virtually no separation. Can they be made larger and less jumbled looking?
Once I click a thumbnail I’d like to go to a detail page with a LARGE image, arrows for navigating, keyboard arrow keys enabled for navigating, the image filename (or title if automatically populated) overlayed at the bottom of the image, or below or above the image. And a simple, obvious way to get back to the thumbnails or to the album page (like something that says “back to thumbnails” “Back to album”).
So far, when I click a thumbnail I go to what appears to be a slideshow, with a slightly larger image but nowhere near the size I uploaded. I’ve turned off all the slideshow things since I do NOT want a slideshow, but how do I get a large detail image?
Can someone tell me whether these things can be done reasonably with this tool, and if so, how?
