inline comments and closed comments

  • It appears that Inline Comments does not read the Settings > Discussion: “Automatically close comments on articles older than…” setting for posts with closed comments. What I’ve found is that it looks like one can still post an inline comment (i.e., there’s a bubble next to each para), but the comment window does not appear.

    Is it possible to remove the bubbles entirely (so as to avoid confusion) on posts for which comments are no longer allowed?
