• When I create a post and try do some inline style coding the style attribute of the img tag gets deleted. This is happening consistantly. Is there some reason I can’t post HTML code in my postings?

    i.e.:
    < img style=”text-align:center;” src=”someURL” >

Solved. I got my WP2.0 blog setup over on another one of my domains. It installed quite smoothly. It does <b>NOT</b> have the problem with stripping inline style information that I am having on WordPress.com. Apparently WP.com is doing something to stop you from using Java and in the process that also strips inline style stuff. Bummer.

The good news is the problem is with WP.com and not with WP2.0! So it is working smoothly over on my other test blog. Good news. Meanwhile I am preparing ot move my main blog (Sugar Montain Farm to WordPress 2.0 asap.

I now need to play with WP2.0 more, learn more about the templates, plugins for spam control, etc. I don’t see how to implement other templates or plugins over at WP.com but I do see how to do that in the installation I did in my own domain. Then late at night when my blog’s usage is at its normal minimum time I’ll run the great new Blogger.com -> WP2.0 transfer function. It is a joy. It really works. My conclusion is it is best to avoid the WP.com installation except for the most basic use of WP. It was good for testing before I got up the gumption to do my own installation of WP2.0 on my web host’s servers. So far so good.
