inline wysiwyg editor is rewriting raw code.

    I’ve tried a few editors starting with the default. When I am in code view, and I paste code, the “engine” is interpreting line breaks and white space and rewriting my code by adding breaks and paragraphs. I don’t mind this in the wysiwyg view but why is it rewriting my code in code view? Any suggestions on an editor that doesn’t touch the code? It is happening with all editors. I’m thinking the site is rewriting the code independent of the editor.

    This may be a bug? If you paste text into the html edit mode of the editor, it appears to rewrite the code. If you actually edit the code in the editor, it does not rewrite the code.
