InMotion : a good hosting service for multisites?

Hello,

What is a good web hosting service (I’m on a budget so I’m thinking shared hosting) when you want to setup multi sites (subdomains not sub folders)?

I am with fatcow and got really frustrated because the only problem is I can’t edit the httpd.conf file, so every works great, but I’m stuck using ugly permalinks ??

I was thinking of InMotion, but was wondering if I was going to encounter similar problems down the road. Anyone has tried their business shared hosting plan?

Anyone has another recommendation to make? I’m open. This is for a non profit organization, so I can always try to bring a more expensive solution to the board if it’s the only way.
