    Hi,

On my website I use group block to change backgroud color on Hero section for example.

When I set the width on the elements inside the main group for contained, on the editor everything works fine. However when I publish the page or preview, the width of inner elements (groups, media and text etc) is either full width or large.

    Please check these images:

    On editor:

    Preview mode or published:

    Thanks in advance

    Hello @hd1984,

Thank you for using Neve and writing to us.

I have tried replicating this issue on a clean instance, but it seems to be working as expected. So This issue might be occurring due to a plugin conflict on your end. Please install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin(https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/), enable the troubleshooting mode which will deactivate all plugins, and open the page and check if the issue persists. After that try activating the plugins one by one to find problematic plugins. Then replace it with an alternate plugin.

If this didn’t work, then please share the website URL where you are facing this problem so we can have a further look.

    Have a great day!!
    Thank you.

    Hey Kush

    Thanks for your reply.

Meanwhile I migrated my wordpress installation to a virtual machine and deleted the plugins one by one and removed all the custom css and the problem is still there.

Please check the website. In this page, the second and third H2 are set to center aligment but if set it to left aligment, the group width is not respected and behaves as it is full width.

I forget to mention that I found a workaround for the other blocks like groups and colluns by adding a custom css and put them inside a line block with center aligment.
But that don’t work for titles.

    .customcss {width:980px !important;
    }

I tried edge, chrome and firefox in windows and android.

At the moment, the titles H2 are center but if I put align on left as I want, it will be like this on computer.

    Hey @hd1984,

It looks like you have turned the site access to private again.

If we won’t have access to the site it will be difficult for us to troubleshoot this, so can you please provide the access, till the issue is resolved?

    Thank you.

    Hey @hd1984,

Thank you for the website access.

I checked the website and I think this issue might be coming from a plugin named WPO minify, which affects the CSS files and causes such an effect. So, can you please try disabling the WPO minify plugin then clearing the cache of the browser, and checking your site after that?

If that doesn’t solve it then kindly provide us with some screenshots or a screencast video of your Page editor setup by going to Page editor > list view so that we can try replicating this on our end.

You can see an example here:https://prnt.sc/FIoj9RdNoiC_

Thank you and have an amazing day!

    Kush,

I installed wordpress in a virtual machine with zero plugins and your theme behaves the same.
If you can’t solve the problem just say it, don’t blame other plugins.
I have other wordpress sites with other themes and I don’t have this problem.

    Hello @hd1984 ,

Thank you for using Neve and for helping us get to the bottom of this issue!

I have tried replicating this particular scenario on my test instance but to no avail. It looks like the issue is going on for a few days already and we would like to help you finally solve it thus would you mind sharing how to replicate this behavior exactly so we can forward it to our developers and fix it?

The more details you can provide the better so we can ensure proper replication!

Thank you for understanding and for collaborating with us!

From what I found on google, I wasn’t the only with this problem and you were not able to solve it.

Meanwhile, in my virtual machine I imported one starter site and checked all the settings and found the soultion.

For the aligments to work fine, the settings has to be like that:
    https://prnt.sc/ghN5ZxVKrq94

Otherwise the theme won’t work properly.
But be awere that it’s buggy when changing the settings on alredy published pages.

    (@kushnamdev)

    Hey @hd1984,

From what I remember only the H2 heading of your website was having some problems with alignment and the settings that you have shown us affects the alignment of every element on the page.

So could you please also attach some screenshots of this page layout options settings when you were having that H2 heading issue so that we can try to replicate it one more time as if it is a bug then it is a matter of concern for us?

Also, We are glad to hear that you were able to solve this on your own, and thank you for sharing the solution in case anybody else needs this help and also thanks for being an active community member!

Thank you and have a great day!
