I would like to insert a short message above the posts on the home page with my H1 title and a short paragraph. I tried a snippet of code that was supposed to insert a textbox but didn’t seem to work. If someone could give me few pointers it would be very much appreciated. I have a child theme and I’m using the Custom CSS Manager which seems to be more effective with the style changes. My website URL is https://www.bestmenswatchesreviews.com
I have made similar requests for other issues on this site and received much help which is greatly appreciated. Please excuse my repetition of the same information.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Anybody? I am really concerned that my homepage is too stark and simple. I could really use an answer, even if it is not the one I want.

I am not sure this applies to your question but if you go to https://www.BargainsNFinds.com, I have put a menu and maybe you can just use the menu system to put whatever short message you need. Just go to Appearance and Menu and create yourself a menu. BTW, how did you make your squares/rectangle pictures on your site so even??

Thanks for the tip! I see what you did and it is very clever. It won’t actually fill the bill for my needs, but thanks for responding! You have a nice looking site.

As for getting my squares/rectangles so even. I used Photoshop to resize each of the pictures to 250px X 250px. I had to do a lot of manipulation to get them all so uniform within the white background, but I’m very anal attentive.

THANKS! Gosh, I wish I could do that. Just way too busy to do more editing. Good luck and nice site as well. One of my favs as I love watches. Just wish I could afford the ones I love.

You’re welcome but I just learned that little trick three days ago from a member named goalnetZ Steve, so he deserves the thanks, not me. But I’m glad I could pass it along.

Oops, I replied to the wrong email, I actually did not get that from goalnetZ Steve but from my own anal retentive striving for perfection in even the most inane details! Gluck!

Still hoping someone can help me to insert a page or textbox above the posts on “Home” of the fifteen theme. I tried using a static page but that did not allow me to get back to what is now “Home” at all. Do I have to create something in my header image?
