    We are still actively working on this issue.

    The most common solution has been to set the permalinks to something other than the default. If this does not sort out the issue then we ask you to file a bug report here: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/

    Please let us know you are using a permalink setting of something other than the WordPress default and please also provide us log in details on the Bug Report (not here) so our support team / developers can look at this more closely. Thanks!

    Just upgraded to 2.0.17, but no difference… I’m considering to give up this plugin. It is just not reliable.

    @lensv: I just went looking for your bug report and caught up on that thread.

    On the blank ATP window, I know you want us to fix that, but the main problem is that you can’t give us login credentials, so we’re unable to diagnose the issue. All we can do is just guess what may be happening, which we’ve tried. If you can give us even a normal user WP login so we can see the issue, even that would help.


    It sounds like there’s also a second site that is a multisite installation and on which the NG icon actually isn’t showing. For that one, can you please update to 2.0.18. That’s the first beta we’ve released with full multisite support:

    Same here, updated to 2.0.17, no improvement, already submitted the bug report after changing the permalink (it was never default, to begin with) setting to other than default, no difference too.

    The grey overlay on clicking of image or missing caption, and unable to insert the nextgen gallery in new post.

    Screenshots submitted too, so that the team knows what I mean by unable to insert the gallery in new post.

    It’s been many revisions since it’s ‘broken’, will this very get fixed? If we were to remove the plugin – it’s really looking very unprofessional to have a broken plugin on business blog – what happens to the existing posts that are using nextgen gallery?

    Do anyone have a solution to prevent image loss after removing the nextgen plugin?

    Well, I have been willing to give you an admin account to my WP site (not ftp) for several days now, but no one has given me some kind of response…

    Is anyone at NextGen actually working on this problem?

    @lensv – it’s pretty obvious they are working on a LOT of problems. This past weekend (through Monday) was a long holiday weekend in the US so give it a bit more time.

    Well, I do NOT think it is obvious! I have offered them login options, but they haven’t shown any interest to go any further. In fact, I haven’t got any response from the bug people for a week now.

    Also, if they are serious about the gravity this problem they should not let a holiday stay in their way.

    Upgraded WP to 3.6.1 and NextGen to 2.0.21… Still no improvement ??

    I’ve the same problem, WP 3.6.1 and NextGen 2.0.21. As I can see there is a page that isn’t loaded:
