Insert/edit link GUI – Search field for looking up content gets covered up

  • This has been an issue for a couple of versions now.

    Tested so far on Firefox 77.0.1 – and Chrome 83.0.4103.116.

    It rarely works now, 90% of the time the field gets covered up. It’s normally much worse than even the screenshot I linked too.

    I’ve also tried both the classic editor and block editor – the same issue in both.

  • Hi! Thanks for the screenshot. I wasn’t able to replicate this on my local install of WordPress.

    To confirm, can you let me know what version of WordPress you’re currently using? Likewise, theme or plugin conflicts could also affect how this appears. The best way to debug that would be to temporarily disable plugins and switch to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty) to see if the problem goes away.

    I’m running WordPress 5.4.2. Checking when I switch to a default theme and plugins now.
