    Hi,

If you would like to use Google Tag Manager, you will always need to use the header and footer code provided by the GTM UI. This plugin requires you to only enter your GTM container ID and the rest will be handled by the plugin itself.

Most tracking scripts are loading asynchronously thus they will have less impact on your real site load speed in opposite of page speed tools. The best I can suggest to you is to limit the number of tools you are using in your GTM container.
