• I have researched and tried everything to add a caption underneath my images. In the post edit, Press This marklet, the caption looks perfect. But once I publish the post, it looks like this:

[caption id="attachment_45391" align="alignleft" width="270"]poarch_band_of_creek_indians Poarch Band of Creek Indians tribal members[/caption],

The published post shows no caption but has “[caption id=”attachment_45391″ align=”align left”” above the image and “Poarch Band of Creek Indians tribal members” to the right of the image (actual caption wording) with “[/caption]” underneath the image.

It looks perfect in post edit but in the published post it looks like I am describing here. I use Gabfire’s sharp magazine theme and they told me it not a theme issue. Anyone have any suggestions?

Here is a sample of what happens after publishing:

  • Hi jaydokie,

Looks like you are using a plugin that should be pickup up a shortcode and rendering that for you but something else is preventing it from working. You can try disabling all other plugins temporarily to see if it starts working. If it does then enable your plugins one-by-one till it breaks and then you will have identified your culprit.

    Hope this helps,
    AJ

I deactivated all plugins and the first draft came out the same way.
