Insert image -> site down for 5 minutes

    I am using WP 2.5.1, and I have the following, extremely annoying problem. When posting or editing posts I add some pictures from time to time. Not wanting to rant about the flash uploader itself, but I experience the following:

    I click on “add image”, and then I can wait up to 10 minutes (I guess the average is about 4 min), until the dialog appears. The web page itself is completely down during that time. Even if I go to the main page, nothing. I have to wait until that thing appears.

    I was using 2.5.1 upgraded, and I re-installed it completely fresh to be sure it’s not an install error.

    Did anyone else encounter this, or can me help debug that strange and highly annoying behavior?
