• Hi,

I have just installed 3.4.1 through Hostgator.
Everything worked perfectly – Except for images.
The images always worked fine before this release.

    1. When I upload images (WP-media uploader) to the Media gallery they show as an “image marker”. If I edit the image I can see the image.
I have tried (jpeg, png, bitmap, gif) all have the same result.

    2. If I insert a image (any format) onto a page it also show only an “image marker” not the image.

“image marker2 = border line for the image boundry and a small ico in the middle. does anyone have a suggestion of how to resolve the image display. Thanks

The images always worked fine before this release.
    Thanks.

    Andrew

    Hello,

Seems like you have a timthumb issue. First try and make sure all your uploads folders in the wp-content are writeable. Then proceed with adding the images again.

    Hi,

The Upload folder is set to – 755
The 2012 folder inside that is set to – 755
The images are all set to – 644 They are type (image/x-generic)

    Do these look correct?
    Thanks

    Solved the problem: WP 3.4.1
    Issue: Images don’t display.

    Went to C-Panel files
Went to “uploads/2012/07” – change permissions to 744
    Uploaded image from there.
    All working now.

There seems to be an upload path issue when uploading from within WP.
    Hope this helps others.
