  • Try deactivating the Picasna plugin.

    Hi esmi

Have deactivated Picasna & all other plugins are also not active.

Link button is still greyed out ??

    Try:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

renaming the plugins folder via FTP

    I’m back to default theme,
Plugin folder renames & new empty one created.

    Link button still greyed out.

I recall seeing a mention of a value in php.ini regarding allowing links but I can’t find the article or webpage again. Also haven’t been able to locate this php.ini file to see if this may be the case

I wouldn’t have thought that the php.ini settings would be the cause. Do you use Google Gears? If so, deactivate/delete it. It’s not currently compatible with FF3 and can cause problems within WordPress.

And remember to press CTRL and F5 simultaneously when viewing an updated page/site. That should ensure that your web browser fetches a fresh copy of the page rather than serving up an out-dated copy from your own cache.

    Thanks esmi

    Don’t use Gears
I’ve just been trying this in G Chrome & have been able to get a working link in it, so maybe it’s a browser problem & has a problem with FF3.5

Might try using WP blog in Chrome (or IE) & see if can get working

You need to select the text you want to turn into a link. Then the link button will go black.
