Why does the interface fail to find the correct page?
It just suggests a whole lot of other pages, but not the one with the name I typed!

When you edit a page using customizer or classic editor, you must publish.
If you don’t publish your changes will not be saved.

Making text “The Personal World” be a link. Highlight text. Ctrl K. Type in the name of the page. Does not come up with the page in the suggestion box.
It always used to find the correct page.
Now it suggests a whole lot of other pages, but not the one with the name I typed!

It could be some recent plugins that you might have installed that caused this issue. Do you remember what is the last thing you did before this error occurred?

Hi. I have been deleting all but my essential plugins. As far as I can tell this happened when I went over to the 2022 theme. I am assuming I do not have to publish the pages for this to work. It always used to work with drafts.

Perhaps you also want to post this issue in the 2022 theme support forum and see if the developers have any clues on the solution – https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/twentytwentytwo/

Seems to work fine when, and only when, the page one is linking to is published.
