Insert multiple extra sections into frontpage

    I’d like to customize the frontpage with multiple extra sections. Since customizer doesn’t allow for additional sections, I went and changed frontpage.php (in the child theme) and added a new ribbon.php in between existing sections. I used the echo command to enter text into the section.

    Is there any better way to do this?

    No, there’s no better way to do this. It’s the easiest way. Of course, you can use the Customizer API to add options to change that section straight from the Customizer, but it will require a lot of extra effort. ??
