    Hi there,

I’m using Generatepress and tried to display a table using tablepress plugin in order to get a responsive table

On static pages, tablepress looks great : no problem with it.

However, using the same table/shortcode on my homepage, it does not work.

The only difference is that my homepage is built as a custom post type, and it looks TablePress only loads the CSS when it’s inserted in static pages and single posts but not in Elements which is a custom post type.

Is there a way to solve it ?
(for information, here is the topic i tried with generatepress : https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/table-not-responsive-using-hook-element/#post-2247651)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not familiar with Generatepress, unfortunately, so I’m not sure what the requirements are here.

That said, TablePress does load its CSS code everywhere on the frontend, and does not differentiate between CPTs, pages, posts, etc.

And just to clarify: Is it just the CSS that is not being loaded or is the [table] Shortcode not working at all?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

    I’m using same shortcode [table id=1 responsive=stack /] on both pages :
    * https://www.hamster-et-compagnie.fr/comparatif-quel-hamster-choisir/ >> it’s perfect
    * https://www.hamster-et-compagnie.fr/ >> table display is fine, so shortcode works, but there is no CSS, and it is not responsive on mobile

    Thanks

    Hi,

thanks for the links! From what I can see, the CSS is different on the pages due to some “Litespeed” plugin handling it differently. Can you maybe test with that turned off or its cache flushed?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Unfortunately i already tried flushing cache before i contact you, but nothing changed.

A few minutes ago, i just disabled it on the entire website, so… if you want to investigate further ?? Anyway, thanks for your help, i do appreciate it a lot

    Hi,

it seems that it’s not active for JS code, but the CSS on the site still seems to have been changed to inline loading (in a <style> HTML tag).

I’m not sure I understood your answer and what corrections I should make ?? maybe a little too technical for me!

Otherwise, I’m thinking of replacing my homepage by a static page, which should solve the problem

    Hi,

I meant to say that something on the site still seems to be changing how CSS code is loaded. From everything I can see, this is done by the Lightspeed plugin. Is that really fully deactivated on your site?

If changing the homepage to a static page is possible, that might be the best solution otherwise.

    Regards,
    Tobias
