Inserted links are not turning blue once saved

Theme WordPress 2017. I’m a new blogger, 3 posts so far published. When updating or saving my blog post with an inserted link, the caption does not turn blue. It does underline and will work by carrying the reader to the link in another page but I have to highlight the insert in the blog and then select the color blue. It is not doing this automatically as I understood it should.
