• Hello. Not sure what version of WordPress I’m using. My problem is this. I can no longer change a Link URL that I add to my blog posts when using the insert/edit link feature. I add the correct link address, change the target to new window and then type in the Title name I want the Link URL to read and hit insert, but it doesn’t change it like it use to. In other words if the link is https://www.hellogoodby.com and put hgb.com as the the Title it will still read https://www.hellogoodbye.com. I hope I was clear on this. It was working fine until a few weeks ago. I’m very frustrated and any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Look at the very bottom of your Admin pages on the right-hand side.

I can no longer change a Link URL that I add to my blog posts when using the insert/edit link feature.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

Hello. I’m sorry for this but… What is my Admin pages? I know what My Dashboard and the Global Dashboard are. Also where do I find and disable plugins? I really hope I don’t scare you away. lol. I am not computer illiterate though, so don’t worry I’ll get there.

wait….if you have a dashboard, and a global dashboard, I think you are on wordpress.com, and not a self hosted www.ads-software.com installation?

    Is this correct?

Well I use GoDaddy as my host, but I am just a simple blogger. This is my website. https://whyiprayintheshower.com/ It is actually The Next Step. A friend did this for me to help promote a book i wrote. Sorry if I am in the wrong forum. I really appreciate your help so far, but what should I do next?

OK, sorry, you do have a self hosted setup, and are in the right place for help!

Your admin page is your dashboard, its where you go when you sign in. THere are menu items for plugins and themes, thats where you go to deactivate each

Nope… Seems like he is on WordPress.com
