insert/edit link – open link in a new window doesn’t work

  • Can anybody tell me when while of my “Authors” is using the visual editor the option “open link in a new window” under the panel “insert/edit link” doesn’t work.

    I follow the whole process using the visual editor as “Administrator” and worked perfect, but for “Author” you have to open all your links in the same window.

    Any idea how can I fix this?

  • I have the same problem, please help! Authors cant put anything to open in a new window. Admin does the same thing and works!! WordPress 2.3.

    I posted a different question relating the the insert/edit link and no one responded.

    When you crate a link using insert/edit link in visual editor it works fine initially.

    IF you want to EDIT or ADD anything later the *title infor DISAPPEARS* and you have to retype it.

    This happens in *both* 2.2 and 2.3. NOT in my older version.

    Have either of you who posted here figured out why this is happening?
