Inserting a Sheet in a Post or on a Page

Create a page with [sign_up_sheet] slug

mnmoose is right on. You can create a new post or page and then place the [sign_up_sheet] shortcode in the body of your new page. If you have any other trouble, please let us know.

When I insert the shortcode [sign_up_sheet], I get:
Current Sign-up Sheets
No sheets currently available at this time.

Do I need to insert an ID#? If so, how? Would it be: [sign_up_sheet_id=1]

You just need to add a new sign-up sheet in the WordPress Admin that has a date in the future or no date at all. The sign_up_sheet shortcode will automatically hide anything with a date in the past.

Thanks all. Now I’m having a different problem. The plugin isn’t loading into my style sheets at all, but returning an unformatted white page with the list of my sign ups. When I click on a sign up to view or fill it out, it takes me back to the WordPress dashboard All Posts listing. Not as helpful as I’d like, as you can imagine. Any clues?

Here’s the error message at the bottom of the page referenced above:

That appears to be related to a bug with certain templates. We hope to have it correct very soon with the next version.

This should now be corrected with version 1.0.2 of the Sign-up Sheets plugin. If you have any other issues, please let us know.

I would like my visitors to click a “register” button linked to the appropriate sign up sheet. How to I do that?

The ability to customize the “sign up” link is not currently a feature of this plugin. However, I will add your request to our wish list of possible future upgrades.
