I just installed a theme that I really like.

I want to create my own ads to put on the site and it has a quad of 4 125’s in the upper right corner.

I just have absolutely no idea how to insert the ads into this space and don’t know how to frame the question to get the search results I need out of this forum. Surely others have asked this question.

I’d also like to change the header graphic on this theme.

Advice, road maps to tutorials, etc. are all welcome.

    Thanks for any guidance.

    Lisa I.

Okay, I believe I’ve figured this out most of the way on my own. I need a bit of clarification. The template creator simply used the same image over and over in the upper right section of the template – I’m guessing all I need do is modify the filenames referenced in the theme to match graphics I create, upload the appropriately named new graphics into the image folder and that should do it right? Can I get a little hint where to look for the text that needs modified – will this be the header or sidebar template? I assume sidebar but I know logic doesn’t always seem to work on this stuff :-).

How can I make these ad images link to content elsewhere, either on my blog or a different url entirely?

Help or direction to tutorial appropriate is appreciated.

I found a shortcut to achieving this someone posted out here.

Just create a post, insert photo, add link to the photo, go to the HTML version of create post, copy the code and past into a text widget to display in the sidebar. Perfect for us non-coding types ??
