• Hi !

I’m actually very close to finishing the installation of my bilingual site (I have installed a network of site and Multisite language switcher) but as many in this forum I’m a total beginner in PHP coding and I keep inserting links to switch language in the top left of my header creating a white layer in the header.

I would like you to help me create these links : “FR” (for french site) and “EN” (for english site) in the middle of my top navigation menu (in the middle of the header the same where there are the social links).

I am a total beginner but still a quick learner and if I get instructions I can follow.

Thank you so much for your help.

    From the FAQ ??

How can I add the Multisite Language Switcher to the nav-menu of my blog?
Please check the add-on MslsMenu out.

I have used Dennis Ploetner’s Multisite Language Switcher often. I find it a super-logical way of organising my translations. (Thanks Dennis)

I have only just seen the MslsMenu plugin.

Up to now I have worked with my sites as Child-themes (google that if you don’t know – much safer way to work) including header.php and functions.php in the child.

The header and functions can be modified to include more widget areas and more menus. See this link for example. Adding widgets

Yes, it’s a bit worrisome the first time round but after a few goes you’ll be slapping new menus and widget areas into your themes, pretty much where ever you want.

    Good luck.
