    This column is in EME since 1.4.0. If it is not present in your current setup, that means that your wordpress database user probably has no right to add columns to a table in the database. Or something went wrong during your update or you’re using an old database …

    Thanks… that gives me the direction I need. This particular site is hosted on a Windows system that I have no control over. I’ll get with their sys admin.

    Franky,

    The site administrator claims all permissions are correct, but deactivating and reactivating isn’t working. I’m afraid we may need to re-install, but they’ve created a large number of events they don’t want lost.

    Any options? Again, I don’t have access to the DB, or I’d manually add the column.

    Deactivating/reactivating won’t change it, since there’s an eme option (in the wp options table) that indicates the current eme version (and if it is the same as the one you’re having, nothing happens).
    Easiest is to figure out from which EME version you upgraded, and change in the table wp_options the variable to that version. Then deactivate/reactivate and the upgrade will run again.
    To check the current version in the db:
    select * from wp_options where option_name=’eme_version’;

    Ok… This will be a challenge (not an EME problem, but a hosting issue). This particular client uses a web host that runs on IIS and doesn’t have PLESK or anything like it. I actually can’t touch the DB (and have to rely on them for DB backups).

    I’ll try to get the host guys to bump the version back a number.
