Whenever I create a page with the ICS calendar shortcode, the page fails to load – it looks like it stops at the shortcode and gets no further. allow_url_fopen is on in PHP, so I don’t think that is it.

So here’s the weird thing, it works just fine with a very small calendar that I’ve created (https://saintmarkshoreline.org/test-2/) but the calendar I want to use – which has at 2-5 events per day – won’t load.

I’m at a loss as to what’s happening. At my personal site (this is our church site), this same calendar works with the exact same shortcode & options no problem.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

It’s possible you’re running into an out-of-memory error due to the size of the calendar.

I’m currently working with a church client whose Google Calendar is crushing the plugin too. ?? I’m hoping to find a way to optimize performance for large calendars within the next week or two.

That would be great! I wonder if there isn’t an issue with my host (GoDaddy) and the server settings. On my personal site I use InMotion Hosting and the plugin handles the same calendar without an issue.

Thank you for the swift reply, too. I’m excited about this plugin – it looks to be a real asset for our web site and those who visit it.
