    Hello,

I’m currently using WP Boilerplate Shortcode 1.0.6 which is able to insert the shortcode (output) using the visual editor.

Would it also be possible to insert just the shortcode using the HTML editor instead?

    Best regards,

    Cor van Noorloos

  • Yes. Just get the syntax right and you should be fine. It looks a lot like BBCode.

    Hi apljdi,

Thank you for your quick reply. It seems though I might had to be more clear when asking ??
I understand the shortcode syntax, but some of my users might not.

The insert feature this plugin has, basically solves this, giving them a way to easily pick and select a boilerplate.

I often hide the visual editor for my users, as it gives too much control (formatting, etc.). I still would like to use the insert boilerplate feature though. Without having them to worry about the syntax.

Oh, I see. You can add buttons to the html editor. Is that what you are wanting? I’ve never done it but I have seen tutorials explaining how. You may be able to get boilerplate to load on the html editor as well.

Almost, the button, or dropdown menu in this case is already there. It’s just it isn’t working for the HTML editor
