insertion of empty space

  • I’m studying. 2 questions:
    a) want to insert images side by side in the same post, but I want them to be at a certain distance one from another. Now, I’ve noticed that no matter how many space bars, I insert the distance remains the same. So I thought that perhaps I could insert a table with as many cells as I need, and in specifying the width of the cells I could end up with the appropriate distance. And it works. But: am I not taking the longest road here? Given that what I have in mind is a gallery type of blog, this process of drawing a table would have to be repeated for EACH post?
    b) I would like to have more space between the end of a post and the title of the following one. Again a table works fine, but…
